KHF MEDIA

KHF Media is a company that pushes boundaries to create exciting and innovative new ways of telling stories.

Formed as a partnership between David Stubbs’ 10-year-strong, award-winning Wellington company, Krafthaus Films and Thomas Robins’ Flow Productions, KHF was originally formed to launch its flagship interactive online drama series, Reservoir Hill. Since launching the series in 2009, KHF has become New Zealand’s first company to win an International Emmy Award, in Cannes, along with numerous other accolades for the project, and has recently entered the export market – selling the exciting new format to the United States.

As well as creating Reservoir Hill 2: Everyone Lies in 2010 (also nominated for an International Emmy in 2011) – which further pushed the boundaries with new innovative opportunities for audience interaction – this young and dynamic company also entered into the documentary space in 2010, with Mr Invincible – a docu-drama on the Stephen Versalko story that will transform modern docu-drama.

KHF Media is a Wellington company that is performing on a world stage – and prides itself on creating new challenges for Wellington-based crews and opportunities to grow the industry.

The Film Archive

THE NZ FILM ARCHIVE

Having just celebrated its 30th year of unflinching commitment to New Zealand’s film and television history, the New Zealand Film Archive is an independent charitable organisation.

Housed within the Film Archive are more than 120,000 films, videos and television programmes from 1895 to the present day. Every genre of film making – feature films, documentaries, short films, home movies, newsreels, TV programmes and advertisements – can be found at the Film Archive, meaning it’s a great source of information of New Zealand’s cultural past and present, as well (of course) as a great source of entertainment.

But the Film Archive is more than just film. There is also a significant documentation collection which includes publicity materials, stills, posters, production records, props, costumes and equipment housed in Wellington.

The Film Archive draws on its rich repository from the collections for regular screenings and events in its purpose-built cinema and gallery in Wellington, with screenings also held regularly around New Zealand as part of the community access and Te Hokinga Mai programmes.

The Archive has research libraries in Wellington and Auckland available at no cost to the public, with staff on hand to assist.

And from Wellington, the Film Archive is meeting the interests of New Zealanders from all corners of the country through its Medianet initiative, which is a network of digital access sites in art galleries and museums across New Zealand with more signing up each year.
